Join us for a special concert from local young piano prodigy, Kaelem Michel, age 12.
Kaelem Michel, of Fayetteville, NY, is a 7th grader in the Fayetteville-Manlius Wellwood Middle School. He began studying piano in April 2014 and started lessons with Patricia DeAngelis in January, 2015.
In his brief perfomance and composition career, Kaelem has earned a vast amount of accolades, including first place in the 2016 CNY Association of Music Teachers Advanced Piano Competition, first prize in the 2017 Lyra Music Competition in New York City (as the youngest participant in the Junior Division), being named an Extraordinary Talent by the Carrie Lazarus Fund, and receiving the Senator John A. In November 2017, as the winner of Onondaga Civic Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, Kaelem performed with the orchestra and made his orchestra debut.
