Join us for a special concert from talented local young musicians, the pianist Kaelem Michel, 13, and the clarinetist Aiden Michel, 11.
Kaelem began studying piano in April 2014 and started lessons with Patricia DeAngelis in January 2015. Aiden began studying clarinet in 2015 and started lessons with Allan Kolsky in February 2018.
Kaelem has earned a vast amount of accolades, including first prize in the 2017 Lyra Music Competition in NYC (Junior Division) and being named an Extraordinary Talent by the Carrie Lazarus Fund. Kaelem made his orchestral debuts with the Onondaga Civic Symphony Orchestra in 2017 and the Civic Morning Musical/Symphoria in 2018. Recently he was one of the top prize winners of the 1000 Islands International Piano Competition in Cape Vincent, NY, in September 2018.
Aiden has performed with his brother many different venues in Central New York area and made his first full recital debut at Menorah Park in October 2018.
