In 1836, a group of Fayetteville businessmen and landowners formed an alliance called the Fayetteville Hydraulic Company. Their goal was to take water from Limestone creek and run it through a trench into the center of the village, and letting it down in hydraulically usable steps, returning it to the creek. Learn about the history and impact that this endeavor had on Fayetteville, NY by walking with us by the Ledyard Dyke! Meet on the library porch.
